In Islambad, Pakistan the army chief briefed on the security situation the government is fighting them against the Taliban militants and their attacks. The army chief Gen. Ashfaq Kayani addressed the leaders of Pakistan's political parties and did not say if a decision was to be made today about the start date of the ground offensive in South Waziristan, part of Pakistan's lawless tribal region.
